THEGASABLAKGA INCIDENT FRENCH GENERAL’S' ALLEGATIONS. United Press Association. CtiPYnionT (Received Sept. 29, 10.50 p. m .) PARIS, Sept. 29. General Daniado telegraphs that the German. Consul at Casablanca gave the secretary a written order to help- .in the embarkation of the six men. General Damado possesses the origins! order. The six men were deserters from the Foreign Legion, one a Swiss, another Austrian, and a third a Pole. General Damade adds that so far from j the French sailors having, as some-,statements allege, .in the first instance roughly handled the representative of the Consulate, they were themselves first struck by the Consulate native employees, and subsequently by the secretary himself. The paper “Lc Temps” states that 39 deserters from one company at Casablanca previously obtained civilian clothing at the house of a German subject', then following the coast to Rabat, the Consul helping them to embark. The “Times’ ’is confident that the responsible opinion of France and Germany will be able, upon cool reflection, to regard the Casablanca incident with equanimity, especially in view of the general entente in regard to Moroccan affairs.
