AN INGENIOUS SWINDLE

LONDON, Sept. 28. A daring bank swindle is reported from the hearing of a secret code word at the Hnrlosdon branch of the London South-western Bank, intimating the transfer thence of £750 belonging to a customer, received at Qitford branch, where an account was forthwith opened. The supposed customer withdrew £21)0 and departed in an automobile. He repeated the same operation at seven othru. branches, each of which received r„ similar notice. The total amount of the swindle was £2320.
