The Itev. E. Whitehouso, of Ashburton, hns succeeded in growing sonic excellent Up-to-(Dato potatoes despite the unfavorable season. He his recently dug tubers, six of winch weighed 61b lloz, the heaviest being 21b Tloz. The “North Otago Times” states that a farmer in the Onmnru district planted a dry lagoon of largo size with potatoes this season, iroin which 11,0 dug seventeen tons to the aero. Theso lie sold at C l a ton, or at the rate of .C6B an aero.
