SYDNEY. Oqtober 6. At tho quarter sessions, Livingstone pleaded guilty to "stealing £lO3 19s 6cf, the property of Mr. J. C. Williamson. The Crown Prosecutor stated the total deficiency was between £SOOO and £6OOO. Frauds were conducted by means of false signatures. The judge’s decision will be given to-morrow." (Received October 7, 9.12 p.m.) SYDNEY, October 7. Livingstone was sentenced to 3 years 6 months hard labor. The sentence was reduced io 2 years on the strength of sureties for tho restitution of £SOO to Air. Williamson. The missing money has been taken within two years.
