GENERAL NEWS.
Tlio Chinese Immigration Bill passed the Canadian House of Commons recently. It provides that only those Chinese may be admitted into Canada ns students who have been students in China and who come to Canada to continue their education. All such students will have to pay a head tax of ..£CO upon entering the country, but this money will bo refunded after the student. has completed a year’s study in Canada.
