There is a general dullness in the produce market at present aiid-sup-plies of most lines are Tunning short. Onions are almost unobtainable, and are hard to buy at.l7s and ISs nor cut., and there is a probability that the market will rise as the summer ■approaches. Potatoes, on the other hand, are a little cheaper conccquenL' on good shipments from Australia. There is a fair inquiry in Gisbornetor seed varieties, and should the district keep free from blight there \ should be a fair loci! supply. Oats have been planted in many of the small paddocks on the flat*, and as nearly all the crons are showing yell above ground the lands look particularly green and fresh. Tho avheat market is still quiet, and lour remains at tho same price as • ast week.
Chaff ig offering freely, and there I* no chance of prices' going -above present quotations. -Butter and eggs tiro plentiful, dud wnl probably get cheaper as the season advances.
