THE LABOR DAY DEMONSTRATION.
[To the Editor.] Sir,- —It is with pleasure 1 notice the Labor Unions of the district are combining to assist'a -worthy cause. There may be a few narrow-minded people who cannot see why the most important section of tho community should be allowed to have a holiday all to themselves and disorganise the arrangement.'? of a few people, but 1 would like to point out 1 that the'first demonstration of -labor is to be -used in assisting a very worthy ca-use. It •is always thus. When any deserving object needs assistance you can alii ays be sure that what help tho worker can give will always bo given cheorfully.
