The estimated revenue for the current Vear was £14,577,271. Customs (excise exempted) yielded £11,040,711,imd the Post Ollice Department £B,(483,000. The expenditure was £6,'513,579. Tho Post Office appropriations provide for an increased £229,-' 1000. The defence expenditure was I £1,102,681, an increase of £18,1(6. ’Tliis is* exclusive of £150,000 for coastal harbor defence. The amount that would be returned to the States was ~£B 063,693, a decrease of £790,9U4. The estimated Federal old age pensions would cost £1,225,000 per aninum, the levy for the current year .feeing £410,800. The proposals m;elude a Federation Stamp Printing : Office Bill and Coinage Bill. ihe ‘coinage of Australian silver and gold 'coin is expected to yield an annual {profit of £56,000.
