Tho Huddart-Parker Co.’s Vaotoria from South will be date in arriving hero to-morrow afternoon, and will sail for Auckland and Sydney at
night. Tho U.S.S. Co.’s Taluno returns , from Auckland on Sunday afternoon and proceeds South at night. Outward passengers leave tlio wharf at 5 D.m. The barquontino Pelotas has completed her discharge, and commences taking in ballast to-day. Her next port of call is not yet decided on, hut she will probably sail on Sunday morning for Wkangaroa to load timber. A .record for tho port in discharging operations was established by the s.s. Regnlus on Tuesday. She unloaded <at the remarkably fast rate of 50 tons per hour, and her whole cargo " of 450 tons was dioharged and the vessel was just casting off within, ten hours. This time also included a dhift from the town wharf to the Kaiti side. The scow Alert had almost completed discharging her coal last night, and will .probably sail for Ngungu.ru to-day. Tho unloading of the Zmgara s timber was being carried out yesterday, and she will probably ibe completed by to-morrow night. Messrs Richardson and Co.’s Fanny .arrives from Napier to-morrow morning with a general, cargo. The schooner Awamii is due from Tologa 'Bay and Auckland at any hour. . The Canterbury Shipping Co.'s s.s. Ripple ds duo from Gireymouth tomorrow, timber laden. Tho U.S.S. Co.’s Hauniri arrives to-morrow evening from South, and continues her trip to Coast ports and Auckland. She will be replaced in till© coastal trade at the end of the month by the s.s. Flora. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall is due to leave Auckland to-morrow on her i usual weekly trip to Tologa Ray and Gisborne, arriving here on Monday morning. The TJ.S.S. Co.’s Wanaka is due to call in here' about Friday, 23rd ins’t., on her way from Southern ports to Auckland. _ Possession was taken of the U.S.S. Company’s ship Dartford on Monday at Wellington by a band of carpenters and cither workers. Homo were engaged dismantling the poop, while others were aloft pulling down the rigging. The vessel is not / yet rid of her coal freight, but as soon as it is discharged tho work of converting her into a training ship will commenco in earnest. It is expected that she will go on the slip this week. The Hartford will be refitted in such a manner as to entitle her to pass Lloyd’s survey. BY TELEGRAPH. AUCKLAND, Oct. 15.
