SWIMMING

GISBORNE CLUB’S CARNIVAL.

The opening carnival of the Gisborne Swimming Club will ho hold in the- School Baths next Saturday, 24th inst.-, commencing at 2.10 p.m. The programme consists of dix events, comprising 50yds invitation scratch face ,neatest header, 50yds junior race {youths under 18), 75yds handicap, 50 yards obstacle race, and 100 yds! teams’ race. No charge will be made for entries, which close with Mr. H. Miller on Friday next, at 5 p.m. Admission to the carnival will ho -free. It is anticipated that the entries will ho numerous, and |'hc officials hope to see a good attendance of the public.
