"f ELTON COMEDY COMPANY
A very enjoyable variety entertainiV meat and display of cinematograph W' pictures' was presented iby the Elion Comedy Company in Mis Majesty s ■ . • Theatre last- evening. -The company is not i.i large one, hut what was lackin" in numbers was made up iby the variety in (the items produced, and \ the large audience that greeted the performers showed their appreciation by hearty laughter and rounds of applause. Mr. iFred. Elton [has the /•vihvppy faculty of being able to keep audience in a good humor, and comic songs, patter, and quick ! impersonations. were always acceptable. Mis comic songs “Man,” and “What do you want to talk 'about it fpr?” were entirely new, .and were so full M, drollery- that the audience demanded an encore. With Miss'.Grace Elton he performed a musical sketch entitled “ißoib'by,” into which some clever dialogue and parodies on sentimental feongs-were introduced. The musical feats, of Miss Crace who performs upon no less than seventeen instruments, were ,a distinct Af novelty. ' Old English and Scotch Yt music were extracted from ordinary cow-hells, xylophones, banjos, violins, brass tubes, and other improvised instruments with charming efFcet. ' Wing.” The animated pich,ihe:-. here chiefly of a humorous naturej and included “The Butcher’s Revenge,” “The One-legged Man,” and_ ‘No Bathing Allowed.”.
