At the conclusion of the meeting ofthe Poverty Bay Rugby Union lastevening, the chairman. Air. H. Alaude, said he had a pleasant duty to perform, that of making a presentation from the Union to Alessrs G. Tattersall and P. Bailey. --He stated that the presentations only in a. slight: degree made up for th§, services which had been rendered freely by both Air. Tattorsall and Air. Bailey. In making the presentations, which took the form of a handsome travelling bag, -suitably inscribed, to Air. Bailey, and an upholstered arm-chair to Air. Tattersall, Air. Alaude read a brief address from the Union accompanying. Air. Tattersair® present. . Alessrs Tattersail and Bailey replied in a few suitable words, thanking the Union' for the great and unexpected pleasure which had been conferred upon them., Several other members present, spoke in appreciation of the services rendered by Alessrs Bailey and Tattersail, and the pleasing function was brought to a close by-the singing of “For they are JollyjGood Fellows.”
