VESSELS IN PORT.

The TJ.S.S. Co.’s Monowai arrived from South earJy yesterday morning, and sailed during the- forenoon for Auckland. The Huddart-Parker Co.’s Westralia arrived from Sydney and Auckland yesterday afternoon, and sailed, later in the evening for South. The scow Macro sailed for Opoua before noon yesterday. - Owing to the s.s. Tuatea being on the slip, Undergoing her annual overhaul, 'the steamers yesterday were tendered by the s.s. Karoro. Messrs Richardson and Co.’s Rum is due from Napier on Saturday morning with general cargo. She returns to Napier in' the afternoon. The scow Rambler left Whitianga yesterday with a full cargo of timber for this port. The TJ.S.S. Co.’s Wanaka will arrive here early next week from South on her way to Auckland. The Canterbury Shipping Co.’s s.s. Ripple is at present loading afc Greymouth, and will arrive here in a few days.
The MaoriJand S.S. Co.’s Torgauten should arrive here about Saturday with timber from Greymouth.
The TJ.S.S. Co.’s Mokoia is due from South on Saturday morning, and sails later for Auckland and Sydney. The (J.S.S. Co.’s Monowai returns from Auckland on Sunday afternoon, and continues her voyage South in the evening.
The steamer Indravelli, of the N.L. Canadian Steamship Line, arrived at Lyttelton on Tuesday from Vancouver' with 500,000 feet of Oregon pine and 25,000 bundles of Oregon lathes from Lyttelton, and a further consignment of 1,500,000 ft of Oregon pine for Wellington. Captain Horne, marine superintendent of the Indra line, who is on board, lias come to New Zealand for the special purpose of reporting on the present and future possibilities of trade betwen Canada and New Zealand.
