SOME INTERESTING FIGURES

The Joan proposals lor drainage and street improvement at present, before the flora ugh Council,, have been productive of much comment, unfavorable and otherwise, amongst both the Council and the' ratepayers. The Town Clerk (Mr. 11. D. B. Robinson)

has prepared a statement which shows K that the scheme (including the £41,k 390 street loan) can be financed until 1917 by a general rate of 2s. The following is the statement, together with a comparison of the respective schemes of Mr,. Mestayer and Mr. Jickell:—
