THE PREMIER'S DENIAL

CHRISTCHURCH,' Oct. 23

With reference to the cable message (received per United Press Association) published on Saturday, stating that £1,000,000 worth of New Zealand bills of .one year’s,,currency had begun to be placed on the London -market, on tho basis of about 3J per cent., the Right Hon. the Premier telegraphed to the “Press” last- evening: “In reference to your tlegfain regarding the reported issue of Treasury bills for one million in London, I“ cabled the report as it appeared in the “Press” in full to the High Commissioner, and he - replies that the statement is absurd and incorrect. I may further add that no authority for the issue of any Treasury bills in London has been given.” _
