NEW YORK, Oct. 25. Seventeen cars started for the Vanderbilt Cup at New York.. George Robertson, driving an American car, was the winner, doing 258 miles in 241 minutes, an Amercan record. A quarter of a million spectators viewed the race. There were many minor accidents, but no fatalities. (Only two cars finished, owing to the spectators swarming on to the course.
