POVERTY BAY TURF CLUB’S MEETING.
The Poverty Bay* Turf Club will commence their spring meeting on the club’s racecourse-, Makaraka, today. „ The programme consists of eight events, for which large entries have been received for the usual races, and good acceptances for the principal events. The first race is timed to- start at 12,42 p.m., and the last race at 5.27 p.m. Trains will leave the Gisborne railway station for the course at 7 a.m., moon, and 1 p.m., returning at 5.25 p.m. A train will leave the racecourse platform for country stations at 5.40 p.m., immediately after the last race.
