THE LICENSING POLL.
A TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY
[Pniiss Association.]
t WELLINGTON, Oct. 29
The point has been raised' that the validity of the Dunedin licensing poll will be in danger because of a mistake in the name of t) # district, caused by the rearrangement of electorates. In the consolidated statutes passed last session Dunedin West and Dunedin South (formerly Caver.slram) are included. In 'reality the old names are inserted instead of the new ones. Air. Adams communicated with Dr. Findlay, and the latter thinks there will be no difficulty. He says a Gazette notice under the Licensing Act will be issued at once,_ and in it the correct names will be given. As a measure of further caution, notice will be issued for every new district.
