Messrs Swinburne, Cameron, and Saclise have retired from the Ministry to facilitate its restoration. The Commonwealth expenditure on ,the reception of tho American fleet totalled £30,000. The House decided to amend the contract Immigration Act so as to prevent Asiatic crews working cargo during a strike . The Inter-State Fruitgrowers’ Conference resolved in favor of compulsory registration of orchards of one tree and upwards.
