NO-LICENSE CAMPAIGN.
The No-license League will hold a meeting for prayer at Townley’s Half at 7 p.m. to-day. At 8 p.m. A. J. Black will speak from the Sievwrig'ht Alemoriah Air. W. D. Lysnar delivered an address, in support of the continuance of the liquor traffic, in the Ormond Hall last evening. There was a large audience, and the speaker was subjected to some heckling and interjections, which at times became very pronounced. At the conclusion of liis address Air. Lysnar answered a number of questions. NO-LICENSE. [To the Editoxi.] iSir, —In your report of my speech last night :it is stated that I said “it took four hours to get the statement signed.” As it stands, it Scarcely represents what I said, as I added the words ‘“the whole of the delay was .not Air. THE NELSON CLERICAL MANIFESTO. [Press Association.] NELSON, Nov. 13. Tlio following correction is made in a message re the clergymen’s nolicense manifesto, previously sent. It was stated that the manifesto had been signed by all except one Presbyterian and one Nonconformist. It should have been except by one Anglican minister and the Roman. Catholic clergy.
