The “Sydney Morning Herald” cays it must bo admitted the Fischer istry is in some respects an agreeable disappointment. The counsel of the moderate members of the caucus lias prevailed, and instead of an impossible set of colleagues, Mr. Fisher seems to have been able to associate himself with men largely in sympathy with liis own. views.
The l “Telegraph” considers cue Ministry fairly representative of the Labor party, and that there is no fault to find in its personnel.

London newspapers are expectant regarding Mr. Fisher’s Ministry. The “Daily News” predicted bold legislation in finance, making a mark in the administration.

The “Post,” discussing outstanding questions between the Commonwealth •and Britain, suggests Mr. Deakin as the Commonwealth representative. His prestige and intellectual equipment would greatly assist the Imperial education of the British Government and the British public.
