AN UNSUCCESSFUL SEARCH

AUCKLAND, Nov. 16. The Government's-steamer Hinemoa returned to Auckland to-day after an unsuccessful search for the missing barque Loch Lomond. The Hinemoa left here on November Ist for the Three Kings, 'arriving there on November 4tli. Three days were spent in searching for the Loch Lomond, but no traces of her could be found. The depot on the Three Kings was A’isited. The stores were in good order and -untouched. The Km-moa then proceeded to the Kennndco group, where search was made, but no wreckago of any kind . was o irked op. The steamer also called at the Little Barrier. The scientific p?rty who spent ten months on the Iveriradecs joined the Hinemoa. Sundij Island, and 'arrived by her at Auckland to-day. The Hinemoa proceeds to "Wellington on 'fhurtday,
