It as reported in Berlin that Germany paid £IO,OOO for the suppression of the Kaiser’s interview. Ho negotiated the sale direct. The Kaiser to-day gave an audience to Prince Billow at Potsdam for one and three-quarter hours. There is keen anxiety lest the Kaiser’s possiblo refusal to yield! to tlio Reichstag’s views drives Prince Bulow into retirement and precipitates a crisis. There is intense feeling in all parte of the Empire.

Count Hjbhenthal, in the Saixosi Chamber, expressed an earnest hope that the events which liad recently evoked the indignation of the people will not recur, and that the dark shadow which had fallen between the Emperor and the nation would soon pass away.
