THE VICTORIAN BUDGET. AN EXCESS OF REVENUE. United Press Association Copyright (Received Nov. 19, 9.12 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 19. Sir Thomas Bent has delivered his Budget. The revenue for the past year was £8,288,505, and the expenditure £7,848,357. The estimated revenue for the current year is £8,116,250, and the expenditure £8,115,153. He announced his intention to follow a bold railway and waterworks policy. Loan Bills would be brought in during the session and early in the year to raise the necessary loans. Altogether under the credit foncler system £2,254,000 has been advanced, whereof the arrears amounted only to £473. The railway revenue, £3,874,000, lias only onco previously been exceeded. The imports for the year have increased by nearly three millions.
