BED DEER FOR CANTERBURY

DUNEDIN, Nov. 23
The Papanui, which arrived from London to-day, brought nine real deer for the ’Canterbury Acclimatisation Society. The - * shipment originally consisted of twelve, but three died on the passage, apparently from injuries sustained in the‘enclosures.
