NO INSURANCE
[Pekss Association.] DARGAYILLB. Nov. 2-5. There was no insurance on Brown and Son's boatbuilding premises at To Kopuru, destroyed by fire yesterday morning. The damage is estimated at £2500.
PRINTERS FINED. AUCKLAND.. Nov. 25. At the Police Court, a local printing firm, Cullen, Rowe, and Moorish, was charged with having printed leaflets regarding Air. Glover's candidature without 'their name and address. Defendants admitted a breach of the Act, but- pleaded that tho leaflet was a biography of 'the candidate, and that his name being on tho face of the leaflet was sufficient. The Magistrate said lie believed the defendants took their name off the leaflets because they did not wish people, to know they had printed them for Air. Glover. He fined defendants £o.
LAND SALES IN ASHBURTON ASHBURTON, Nov. 2-5.
Although the farming community lias just come through a very critical and financially stringent year it has not prevented a large amount of business being transacted in laud sales. This has been clearly exemplified by the Ashburton branch of the National Mortgage and Agency Company, who report that for the twelve months ending October 31st they have sold land to a total amount of over £258,000.

At the Magistrate's Court, Walter Henry Alasliii, van ex-Burnham hoy, pleaded guilty to breaking, entering, and theft of £9. Accused was sent to the Supreme Court for sentence*
