The result of the second ballot in the Hurunui electorate was officially announced as- follows :—G. W. Forbes 2158, O'. F. Clothier 1553; valid votes polled 3703; informal 11.

DUNEDIN, Nov. 27. Dunedin North final count: Thomson 3382, -Barclay 3376. Mr. Barclay is dissatisfied, and demands a -recount before a Magistrate. Plural votes were not counted. There were four cases of plural voting. Twelve votes were rejected as informal.
NELSON RETURNS. NELSON, Nov. 27. Nelson returns: —Graham 2899,,Atm0re 2882; majority for Graham 17.
