MEETING OP COMMITTEE
A meeting of the Hospital Social Committee was held last evening, when the final arrangements were made in connection with the function which takes place in the Garrison Hall on Mondav .night, and wall bo followed with a" children’s night on Tuesday. The reports of the different subcommittees were received and adopted, and they showed that the. preparations for the event are practically complete. . Excellent seating accommodation! has been provided for onlookers, and cbe ball has been divided off into bays in order 'to facilitate dancers m finding their partners. The music will be a special feature '.f the entertainment, and will be provided by the Federal Band and; Messrs Vita-Bros.’ orchestra, of six instruments, while the extras on both evenings will be played by V ootton s orchestra. The ladies’committee has been most) energetic in their canvas of the town, and as a result of their, efforts an excellent supper will be given, ample supplies having been promised for that mirpose. . . The cloak-rooms will receive special attention, and vill.be under capable direction. The ladies’ and children s rooms vill be free, vhile a- small charge of 6d vill be made for gentlemen. Altogether, the details m connection with the social are most, complete and a huge success is anticipated by those in charge of the function.
