, MELBOURNE, Nov. 28, A large attendance witnessed the Davis Cup- match. The Australians won the first two sets, then the Americans lannexed the. succeeding two, and the fifth was won by tlie Australians. There was gregt excitement and enthusiasm. (Received November 29,- 4.18 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 29. Brookes and Wilding won 6 —4, 0 2 £5 7~ -2 6, G 4:. (Received November 29, 4.37 p.m.) Wilding’s driving was magnificent. Brookes shewed great judgment; ■smashing with great success down tlic centre of the court. In the fifth set America, led two —love. Excitement was intense, and each stroke was cheered. Gradually the Afistralians worked _up enthusiasm, adding five games to an additional one by America, _ (5 —3). Then Wright won his' service.
