VESSELS IN PORT. Torgauten, s.s. Alessrs Richardson and Co.’s liuru arrives from Napier this morning -with a consignment of rams. The Alaoriland S.S. Co.’s Torgauten arrived in the Bay from Grey(mouth late on Tuesday night, and came (aongside the wlvarf early yesterday morning. (She had a long and rather rough trip, and brought 170,000 ft of timber for this port. The U.S.S. Co.’s Mokoia arrived from Auckland yesterday afternoon and continued her voyage South during the evening. The schooner Awanui left port yesterday morning for Tologa Bay, where she loads over 300 bales of wool for this port. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.’s Alaori completed her loading yesterday afternoon, and sailed for Napier. The U.S.S. Co.’s Waikare .arrrived from Napier at 7 p.m. last evening with a large number of passengers and m considerable quantity of cargo for this port. She was expected to get away for Auckland shortly after midnight. Captain J. Robertson, late of the s.s. Pvotoiti, who has jnsb concluded six months’ leave, is at present in command of the s.s. Alokoia. Captain Smith has taken the s.s. Manuka across to Sydney, Captain Newton remaining in Auckland to act as one of the assessors in the enquiry into the Wairuna-Aloonah collision.
