CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS. POST AND TELEGRAPH DEPARTMENT. f 2otli and 26th December, 1908, and Ist January, 1909. Postal Branch. —Fridays, the 25th December and Ist January (Christmas Day and New Year’s Day) will ( be observed as close holidays. On Saturday. the 26th inst (Boxing Day), -f the Post Office will be open in all branches excepting the Money Order and Savings Bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Receivers and posting boxes will be cleared on the evenings' of Thursdays, the 24th and 31st insts. * Flails usually despatched on Fridays will be closed on Thursday nights, the 24th and 31st- insts, “at 7.30 p.m. On Boxing Day, the 26th inst., the usual despatch of mails up to 8 a.m. will be made, receivers and posting boxes cleared accordingly. On the 26th inst. a complete delivery by let,s* ter carrier will be made. On Thursday, the 24th and 31st insts, a delivery of town letters (including registered) will be made between 7 and 8 p.m. at the Post Office wicket. Telegraph Office—On Eriday(Christmas Day) Sunday hours will he observed. viz.. 9.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 to 5.30 p.m. On Saturday (Boxing Day) and Friday (New Year’s Day) the office will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight.
