PERSONAL.
Mr. H. J. Day district manager for the Railway Department is leaving on a holiday which commences next Sunday. He will spend a week in Wellington subsequently travel up the Main Trunk lino and afterwards visit Taaipo and Rotorua: During his absence of four or five weeks Mr. Stringelmun, relieving .district inantager, will be in charge of the local depot. Mr. W. H. Rowell, who has for some time been attached to Holy Trinity Church as lay reader, leaves for Feilding in a few weeks, where he will assist the Rev. Innes Jones in tho work of the parish. The Right Rev. Dr. Williams, Bishop of Waiapu, arrived in Gisborne from Napier yesterday morning. His Lordship is to hold 'an ordination service at Te Arai on Sunday morning, and will leave for Napier on Wednesday next. m
