THE TITTELL BRUNE SEASON
Local playgoers will have the opportunity of witnessing the “Girl of the Golden West” for the first time at His Majesty’s Theatre on Monday evening. Miss Tittell 'Brune, as the heroine, and who is also keeper of the “Polka Slaloon,” the only one in the mining cam.p at Cloudy Mountain is said to give a capital impersonation of “T’fie Girl.” The ilittlo elements of light comedy are well (brought out by Miss JBruiie, and the* pathetic side Of the .role is also excellently defined. Mr. Thos. Kingston’s Dick Johnson, the outflow, whose latent virtues are developed by association with the girl, is said to (be effectively rendered, and he plays with strong dramatic force. The romantic comedy “Diana of Dobson’s” will be staged on Tuesday evening. Produced early this year at the Kingsway Theatre, London, •by Miss Tera Ashweil, it is still ning, having proved one of the few successes of the London seuson.- The csat of ‘Diana of Dobsons” 'includes Mrs. Robert Brough, Missps Emma Temple, Florence Kelley, Nellie Calvin, Edith Levis, and Georgie O Meara.
