Mr. Brakes’ visit was purely departmental, and He left for Wellington yesterday. The Rev. F. AV. and Mrs. Chatterton and Miss Chatterton went South by the s.s. Monowai last evening. Mr. and Mrs. T. Alston Coleman were passengers for Napier last evenmg. Mr. and Mrs. J. AVauchop, of M-a-kaiiri, went South last evening on a month’s vacation. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Brownlee went South last evening on a holiday vacation. Among the passengers South last evening wore several ladies bound for the •annual Bible Class Camp, which is this year being held' at Masterton. The J. C. Williamson Company (34)’ arrived from Auckland yesterday. ■Miss M. L. Hunt, B.A. who has .severed her oonne'Ctioii with tho &isborne District High School, left for her home in Wellington by last evening’s boat. „ ~ .. Mr. A.
