TIMARU, Dee. 23. _ The second wool sale commenced this morning with a total catalogue of 13,307 bales. Before the sale began, Mr. W. Hill, secretary of the Woolb uyers’ Association, said that there had been a great deal of complaint ' about the manner in which the wool was displayed, and buyers had passed a resolution that it the opening and marking of wool were not carried out they would refuse to bid for lots so neglected. BUTTER EXPORT

AUCKLAND, Dec 23. At the present time there are l/,/U4 boxes or 442 tons, of butter 111 store at Auckland, and of tins 16,/ 49 boxes, or 418 tons, will be shipped to England this week, the shipment being valued at about £42,540. The South African shipments for the fortnight totals 150 boxes.
