The following is Captain (Edwin’s forecast to 3 pan. to-day: Moderate to strong southerly -winds are probable north of East Cape and Kawhia, south-easterly strong to gale thence to Cape Farewell and lvaikoura and northerly winds, strong to gale, elsewhere. Northerly winds also probable extending northward to New Plymouth and Napier after 16 hours. Unsettled weather and rain probable generally. Barometer rising slowly north of New Plymouth ami Napier, but falling elsewhere.
