NOTICE is hereby given that the Gisborne Borough Council m- ' lend to take the necessary steps to obtain the consent of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Gisborne to borrow £41,390 iby way- of Special Loan for the following undertakings : 1. The particular undertakings pro- ! posed to be engaged in are: 8 General Formation, Metalling and I Improvement of Roads and | Streets in the Borough of GisI borne. £ 2. The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £41,390, and . it is proposed to allocate such sums 1 as follows :

The proposed security and provision for repayment of the .Loan is a Special Hate of 6d in the £ upon the annual rental value df all rateable property within the Borough of Gisborne j "also that a Sinking fund of i per cent, .per annum out of such Special rate shall be set aside towards the repayment of the Loan. 4. It is proposed to pay the preliminary expenses and cost of raising the Loan, and the first year’s interest out of the Loan. A meeting of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Gisborne to consider the above proposals will be held at His Majesty’s Theatre, Gisborne, on Monday, the 25th day of January, 1909, at the hour of Eight o’clock p.m. W. NOTICE is hereby given that the Gisborne Borough Council intends to take the necessary steps to obtain the consent of the Ratepayers of the Borough df Gisborne to borrow £6150 by way of Special Loan for the following purposes: 1. The particular undertakings proposed to be engaged in are — Acquisition of Recreation Grounds at Haiti and Whataupoko, and Improvements to the Borough Reserve at Childers Road and Roebuck Road, and' to the Recreation Reserve an Aberdeen 'KRoad. 2.' The sum proposed to bo borrowed ;for.such purpose is £6150, and it is proposed to allocate such sums as follows: Recreation Grounds, Haiti Acquisition and Improvement, :'KMi Hill t ••• Recireation Grounds, Whataupoko ••• . ••• Picnic Resort, Waimata River Improvements Borough Reserve Botanical Gardens, Recreation Ground ....
