SEIZURE OF COUNTERFEIT COIN

A quantity of skilfully counterfeited silver coinage and an up-to-date coining plant have been seized in Essex Road, London. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the affair.

The medical students, resenting a harder examination, rioted, and cavalry dispersed them. Hooligans joined in a rush to the entrance of the Senate Chamber, where windows were smashed. Several persons were badly injured, and 300 a rested.

The “Times” states that a FrancoBelgian agreement .has been signed, which delimits the Congo State frontiers, recognises on the one hand annexation by Belgium and on the other hand France’s right to preference in the event of Belgium relinquishing her claim.
