The police tried to. arrest «, suspected Anarchist, who barricaded the second storey of a villa at Moscow, and ' drawing a revolver, shot and killed the superintendent of Gendartmorie and badly avo muled a second officer. The Anarchist kept the police at bay for several hours and wounded Colonel Ivotten, Chief of the Moscow Detective Department, another officer, and . a policeman, finally committing .suicide.
