llie Shah has refused’ to issue a re-, sreipt concerning- the new elections until the Nationalists quit tile Turkish Embassy.
ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION. INVASION OF A CABINET COUNCIL. (Received Dec. 28, 10.10 p.m.) ST. PETERSBURG, Dec. 28.It is reported at St. Petersburg that two men, disguised at priests, entered the Shah’s palace during,:a Cabinet meeting, drew revolvers, and opened fire, one shot passing through -the epaulettes of the heir-apparent. Cos_ sacks arrested!the would-be assassins.
