GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL. SPECIAL LOAN £41,390 FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT. NOTICE is hereby given that the ' Gisborne .Borough .Council intend to take the necessary steps to obtain the consent of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Gisborne tS borrow £41,390 by way of -Special Loan for the following undertakings : 1. The particular undertakings projjosed to be engaged in are: General Formation, Metalling and Improvement of Roads and Streets in the Borough of Gisborne. 2. The proposed security and provision for repayment of the Loan is a Special liate of 6d in the £ upon the annual rental value of all rateable property within the 'Borough of Gisborne ; also that a Sinking fund' of r per cent, per annum out of such Special rate shall he set aside towards the repayment of the Loan. 4. It is proposed to pay the preliminary expenses and cost of raising the Loan, and the first year’s interest out of the Loan. A meeting of the Ratepayers of the -Borough of Gisborne to consider jfrhe above proposals will be held' at His Majesty’s Theatre, Gisborne, on Monday, the 2dth day of January, 1909, •at the hour of Eight„o’clock p.m. W. NOTICE is hereby given that the Gisborne Borough Council intends to take the necessary steps to obtain the consent of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Gisborne to borrow £6150 by way of Special Loan for the following purposes: 1. The particular undertakings proposed to be engaged in iare— Acquisition of Recreation Grounds at Kaiti and Whataupoko, and Improvements to the Borough Reserve at Childers Road and Roebuck Road, and to the Recreation Reserve in Aberdeen Road. 2. The proposed security and provision for repayment of the Loan is aspecial rate of Id in the £ upon the annual .rental value of all rateable property within the Borough of Gis-; borne; also that a Sinking Fund of £ per cent, per annum out of such Special Bate shall be set aside towards repayment of the Loan. 4. It is proposed to pay the preliminary expenses and the cost of raising the Loan and the first year’s interest out of the Loan.
