CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS. POST AND TELEGRAPH DEPARTMENT. 25th and 26th December, 1908, and Ist January, 1909. Postal Branch.—Fridays, the 2oth December and Ist January (Christmas Day and New Yoar’s Day) will he observed as close holidays. urday, the 26th inst (Boxing Day), the Post Office will be open in all branches excepting the Money Order and Savings Bank, from 9 a.m. to 1U a.m. Receivers -and posting boxes will be cleared on -the evenings of Thursdays, the 24th and 31st mats.. Mails usually despatched on Fridays will be closed on Thursday lugfits, the 24th and 31st insts, at 7.30 p.m. On Boxing Day, the 26th inst., tliej usual despatch of mails up to 8 a.m. will be made, receivers and posting boxes cleared accordingly. On the 26th inst. a complete delivery by letter carrier will be made. On Thursday, the 24th and 31st insts, a delivery of town letters (including registered) will be made between 7 and 8 p.m. at the Post Office wicket.
