A, BRADFORD AND NEW ZEALAtV WOOLS. Every flock-owner is sufficiently alive ■to the'fact, that any wool_wbieh evolves the praise of the Bradford wool experts must be of unimpeachable merit. The following report by Mr. S. B. Hollings, the world-renowned wool expert, on a sample fleece from Mr. Ernest Short’s celebrated Parorangi and Balmoral Romney flocks will be of more than passing interest to New Zealand pastoralists : Bradford. England, July 4. 190 s. Mr. Ernest Short, Parorangi, N.Z. liomuev Eleeec. Herewith please find my report- on llomney Marsh fleece bred by Mr. Ernest'Short; of Parorangi, Feilding, New Zealand. This is a tremendous fleece of good, sound, useful wool. The quality is known in the trade as bulk 46’s. It is well grown, capital length, will scour an excellent- color, and' dye any shade perfectly. It will produce a- very desirable toil, spin well, and answer all manufacturing purposes. From this fleece one cannot but be satisfied that the owner is breeding on right lines, for such wool is always in demand for Home, Continental, and American requirements. (Signed) S. B. Hollings. From the above it will bo seen that Mr. Short’s clip is as near as human skill can produce. Thewool- reported upon was dipped in. Quibell’s Patent Powder Dip, and the perfection of the sample conclusively proves the. excellence of this famous sheep-dipping preparation.
