Owners and trainers arc reminded that nominations close with Mr FI. E. Dodd (Secretary) at 9 p.m. this evening for the following events iat the summer meeting of the Gisborne Racing Club, to be held on the Park racecourse on Thursday and Friday, February 4th and sth : —Flying Handicap, £6O, six furlongs; First Handicap Hurdles £6O, one and a half miles; Summer'Handicap .£llO, on© and a . quarter, miles; First County Stakes Handicap, £6O, six furlongs; Park Stakes Handicap £6O, seven furlongs; Second Handicap Hurdles £6O, one and three quarter 'miles; Second County Stakes Handicap £6O, on© mile; Electric Handicap, £6O, five furlongs; Grandstand Handicap, £IOO, one mile and. a distance; Final Handicap, £6O, seven furlongs. , . . MURIWAI RACES. The Muriwai Racing Club held a race meeting at Muriwai yesterday. There was a fair attendance, and the races were well contested, a dead heat ibein o " recorded in tbe Ladies’ Bracelet Handicap. Kaniori Handicap Trot: Prudence 1, Cobra 2, Lady Ella 3. High Weight Handicap: Hamua 1, Freeland 2, Coxswain 3. Flying Handicap: Adria 1, Hillspring 2, Silent Member 3. £2902 went through tlic totalisator.
