The Union S.S. Co.’s Waikare arrived from South early yesterday morning and sailed again for Auckland. She returns from Auckland at tho end of the-week, arriving at this port early on Sunday morning. The Union S.S. Co.’s' Mokoia arrived from Auckland and Sydney ( yesterday afternoon •and sailed South again at night. The Union S.S. Co.’s Squall arrived from Tologa Bay and Auckland yesterday ' afternoon and discharging open.xtions were carried on last night. She was expected to get away at an early hour 1 ' this morning and leaycs Auckland again on Saturday for Gisborne and Napier. The-Westport Cctil Co.’s Kegulus sailed for Westport early yesterday morning. The auxiliary schooner Ivaeo could not get loaded in time to leave last night for Coast ports and Auckland. She will probably sail this evening. The auxiliary schooner Waiapu was loading manure at the Ivaiti wharf yesterday and sails for- Auckland to-day. Loading ooerations on the Shaw Suvill Co.’s Matatua were continued yesterday, and she sails for Napier to-niglit.' Captain W. Burvill-Holmes, It.N.R., is now in command of the Matatua, in. place of Captain CliftonMogg, who has transferred to the Kuramea. . • * „ , The New Zealand Shipping Co. s s.s. ICaikoura arrives here on the ISth inst. to load for London. The Kaikoura is one of the largest vessels of the New Zealand Shipping Ch.’s and is a very fast ship. She beat the Union Co.’s Manuka recently in the run from- Hobart to New Zealand. The Tvser Line’s -Star of New Zealand arrives to-morrow morning from Wanganui for three days loading, and , sails on Monday night for Napier. The auxiliary schooner Fairburn leaves Napier ‘for East Coast ports, Gisborne, and Auckland to-day. The s.s.
