Yesterday was a red letter day in Wairoa with the Masonic Fraternity. Lodge Waikaremoana, which lias been projected for some twelve months, was successfully launched. In the unavoidable absence of the M.W., Grandmaster Bro. Lord Plunket, M.W. Bro. H. J. Williams, P.G.M. was the consecrating officer, assisted by R.W. Bro. J. Moncrieff, GAY.; Bro. Dr. De Lisle, P.G.W. and other Grand Lodge officers. .The cerelinonv was largely attended and was most successful in every particular. There is every possibility of tlie new lodge becoming one of the best in Hawke's Bay. A banquet in the evening concluded (the celebration.
