DINING IN THEATRES.
NEW CONVENIENCE FOR PARIS AUDIENCES. The managers of somo of the most fashionable theatres m Paris arc considering the advisability of arranging lor the servico of dinners in the theatres. The example was set some'.months ago by tho managers of the Opera, who arranged with Paillard the wedknown .restaurateur, to serve, lighu suppers between the acts. The arrangement has been so successful that at the recentperformance of Wagner s “Gotterdammerung”—between the acts of which there were waits of as long as an hour and a ilia.U —hundreds of people sat down at gaily decorated •dinner tables between the acts m the refreshment room at the Opera. Elaborate dinners were served, most of the diners' having ordered the meal when the Opera began. It seems quite likely that people will shortly invito their friends to dinner atjany playhouse where a successfail piece is being presented.
