LICENSING COMMITTEE.
ACTION OF THE AUCKLAND TEMPERANCE PARTY. [Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Jan. 12. At a meeting of the temperance party held, to-night, it was decided to support the candidature of the members of tlie present Licensing Committee .at tlie forthcoming election. The chairman (Mr. Robert French) stated that each of the members had pledged himself to give effect to a 25 per cent, reduction in the number of licensed houses in Auckland if elected.
