ENTERTAINMENTS.

J. C, 'WILLIAMSON'S COMPANY. On Monday next J. C. M illiamson will inaugurate a musical comedy season of three nights. The "Bed Mill and “The Prince of Pilsen” will be { produced. These two operas are reported to be absolutely the most successful musical plavs of a decade. The -Tied Mill” has recently concluded a brilliant run in Sydney and Melbourne, where it was performed for several weeks to phenomenal business. Some new stars will make their appearance in this musical piece, including Mr. John Ford, M' Ed. Sherras, and Mr. Clnss. A. Loner, all of whom have made themselves great favorites throughout Australia; while such popular Australian artists as Mr. Fred. Leslie, Mr. Pat' Bathurst, and Misses Olive Godwin and Ivy Scott can be certain of a very warm welcome on their reappearance. J. C. 'Williamson is sending us possibly the best and strongest organization that has oyer visited .Gisborne from a musical pointSuch acknowledged artists as Mr. Edward Sherras, one of the finest or English baritones, and Messrs horn and Charles Loder have probably never been associated in one company heretofore. Each, has starred individually all over the world. Added to this the number 1 of the company—nearly 100 performers—the magnificent orchestral provided, the lavishness of the .costumes and stage appointments—the undisputed cxcollence of the plays to be produced, must stamp the appearance of this company as a most unusual happening in the Gisborne theatrical world, ihe box plans arc said to be filling rapidly.
