The Mansion House Fund has reached £IOO,OOO. THREE MORE RESCUES. ALIVE AFTER NINETEEN DAYS’ BURIAL. (Received Jan. 17, 4.30 p.m.) ROME, Jan. 17. Rescuers at Mess-ilia found under the ruins yesterday a boy, who told them that his sisters, twenty and twelve years old, were also alive. Both were forthwith extricated. All had subsisted for nineteen days .on onions, wine, oil, dried figs, and water. Their mother had been crushed to death, and the father is in America. Many bodies are still lying unburied in the streets, and the odour is terrible, though immense quantities of disinfectants are arriving daily and are actively used. GISBORNE RELIEF FUND.
